JORDAN STOVALL currently serves as the Manager of the Regional Rep Program at the Dramatists Guild of America, the foremost organization of its kind advocating for the authors of new dramatic works across the nation. As a playwright, he has had the opportunity of studying with Tina Howe, Deborah Zoe Laufer, Michele Lowe, Gary Garrison, and Stefanie Zadravec at the Dramatists Guild Institute, where he also serves as Executive Administrator. He was most recently a resident of the Hamilton Project at the Barn Arts Collective in Maine this July. His play, Corpus, played at the Midtown International Theatre Festival (NY) and the Manhattan Reading Competition. His newest play, Stun, received its first reading at The Dramatists Guild in New York City, and will receive a second reading in his hometown, St. Petersburg, FL. He will be attending the Royal Central School of Speech & Drama in London, UK, beginning Fall 2017 to pursue an M.F.A. in Writing for the Stage and Broadcast Media.
As a performer with a background in musical theatre, favorite roles include Princeton/Rod (Avenue Q, GA), Master Harold (Master Harold... and the boys, FL), and Leaf Coneybear (The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, GA). He has appeared in cabarets at The Duplex (NY), New World Stages (NY), The West End (NY), and performed on The Jorge Show.
